FADPAC is open to anyone in need. These guidelines help identify families and individuals who We Care, Inc. can best serve. We Care, Inc. ask that households meet at least ONE guideline at the time they receive assistance:
•You are requesting food assistance from We Care, Inc. for the first time.
•You are unable to meet your basic living expenses (rent, utilities, etc.) and buy food this month.
•You qualify to receive aid from federal or state agencies, such as AFDC, food stamps, or WIC
•You have an acute or chronic illness or have been in an accident that makes it difficult or impossible to work at the present time.
• You have lost your job within the past month.
• You are homeless.
• You are 65 or older.
• The poverty guidelines are the other version of the federal poverty measure. They are issued each year in the Federal Register by the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS). The guidelines are a simplification of the poverty thresholds for use for administrative purposes — for instance, determining financial eligibility for certain federal programs. If your monthly income falls below the 185% of the federal poverty level, you will qualify for FADPAC assistance.
